Gadiara is a pretty town in Howrah District of West Bengal, India. Earllier in the 18th century, the British build a fort near Gadiara to guard the entrance of the river pirates by the river. However the fort has gone down in ruins. It is located at the confluence of the Rupnarayan and the Hoogly Rivers. Gadiara is also a famous picnic spot.
