Description

Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve spreading on both sides of River Mahanadi hosts some of the attractive tourism destinations with night stay facilities in luxurious Swiss Tents. Nature Camp on the bank of the stunning Satkosia Gorge gives you the experience far beyond your imagination.
Another Nature Camp is there nested on the top of forested hill surrounded by green mountains and valleys.
The surroundings of this sanctuary comprise mixed deciduous forests containing species of sal, teak, mahua, bamboo karada and bahera. Earlier these forests used to be a natural habitat for tigers and leopards, but they are rarely seen now. Gharials, Lephant, Gaur, Sambar, Spotted dear, Mouse Deer, Nilgai, Choushingha, Sloth Bear and Wild Dog. There are also varities of reptiles and amphibians that reside here.
