Description

Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is popularly called as the 'Blue City' as most of the architecture such as forts, palaces, temples, havelis and even houses have been built in vivid shades of blue. Jodhpur is also called as the 'Sun City' as the sun is visible here first every morning. Rao Jodha founded Jodhpur in the year 1459 and the city earned the name after him. The city is famous for magnificent forts and palaces. Jodhpur is also known for the rare breed of horses like Marwari or Malani that are found only here.

Jodhpur is340km from Jaipur.
Time: 6hr from Jaipur to Jodhpur by car. Jodhpur has both an airport and railway station, which are connected with Kolkata.

Best Time to Visit

The weather turns pleasant during October to February and it makes the peak season. The temperatures can be quite cold during the night. So, carry warm clothes for protection
