Description

Pedong is an attractive small sleepy village at a distance from 21 km from Kalimpong. It is also located at a close proximity from Rishyap, Lava and Lolegaon. Pedong is one of the oldest towns in this region with significant historical importance. Pedong is divided into two parts - lower and Upper Pedong. The destination is beautifully blended with its culture and natural beauty. Pedong offers some of the most breathtaking views including the omnipresent Kanchenjunga at the backdrop.

Distance: 650km from Kolkata.
Time: 10 hours by train and 50 min from Kolkata to NJP and Bagdogra respectively. From both NJP and Bagdogra it takes about 2 ½ hours to reach Pedong by car.

Best Time to Visit

Winter is cold and pleasant and is the ideal time to traverse Pedong.
