Description

Lapchakha is a hidden treasure of Dooars is a plateau surrounded by five hills. It is a place where silence mingles into magic and loneliness finds its true definition. You can gaze at the clear sky on a full moon night. You will be delighted with the hospitality of the Drukpa community. The beauty of Lapchakha lies in the view from the plateau. About 12 rivers flowing through Dooars starting from Sankosh to the Torsa look like glistening snakes meandering through the plains below.

Distance: 680km from Kolkata.
Time: 10 hours by train and 50 min by flight from Kolkata to NJP and Bagdogra respectively. From there, it takes almost 3 hours by car to reach Lepchaka.

Best Time to Visit

Winter season between December and February is the best time to visit Lepchaka due to the pleasant weather conditions with low humidity.
