It takes 2.5 h from Kochi by car. The nearest airport is the Cochin International Airport.

Best Time to Visit

Climate wise, the best time to visit Thrissur is winters, from October to March in winter. However, you must try visiting during one of the festivals celebrated with great pomp and show here.
In the month of April or May, the famous Thrissur Pooram festival takes place.
Thrissur also celebrates the Pulikali during Onam celebrations in August or September based on the Malayalam calendar.
