Description

Rishyap is a beautiful, tranquil rural settlement. Rishyap forms an integral part of the well-known Neora Valley at the foothills of Tiffin Dara. Rishyap is a virgin spot clothed in forests of pine, birch, fir, colorful rhododendrons and orchids with a wonderful view of the vast range of Kanchenjunga and many other Himalayan snow peaks.
'Rishyap' justifies the meaning of its name - 'Mountain Peaks and Forests'. At night you can see the town of Gangtok and Pedong, glittering in its lights.

Duration

Distance: 650km from Kolkata.
Time: 10 hours by train and 50 min from Kolkata to NJP and Bagdogra respectively. From both NJP and Bagdogra it takes about 2.5 hours to reach Rishyap by car.
