The destination called Fagu, also called Phagu gradually grew in popularity and now is an acclaimed tourist destination of Himachal Pradesh. Fagu is a splendid hill resort located around 22 km away from Shimla. It is well known for its swaying green fields with the snow-covered Himalayas at its backdrop. Phagu surprises vacationers with its splendor, charm and serenity. It is one of the secluded snowy retreats in the state.

Best Time to Visit

Wintertime from October to February is the ideal time to visit Fagu. The temperature remains cool and is pleasant for sightseeing and other outdoor activities. Fagu forms an excellent base for trekkers, botanists and naturist who wants to explore Shimla and surrounding areas. The mountain ranges and deep valleys are dotted with apple orchards and flower fields with blooms between May-October. This is also another great time to visit Fagu.
