Description

Lataguri is a quaint small settlement located just outside Gorumara National Park. Therefore, Lataguri stands as the entry point to the Gorumara Park. Lataguri is located amidst the beautiful hilly areas of Dooars and it offers a perfect place to spend time at the lap of Mother Nature. Lataguri has an amazing collection of wild animals and birds which makes it a paradise for nature lovers. In addition to these, there are beautiful green tea gardens which serve as a great attraction for tourists.

Duration

Distance: 610km from Kolkata.
Time: 10 hours by train and 50 min by flight from Kolkata to NJP and Bagdogra respectively. From there, it takes 1.5 hours by car to reach Lataguri.

Best Time to Visit

Winter season between December and February is the best time to visit Lataguri due to the pleasant weather conditions with low humidity. During Monsoon, the sanctuary remains closed.

Visit the Nature Interpretation Centre to learn about the various flora and fauna in the Gorumara National Park.
