Description

The small captivating village of Rinchenpong is tucked in the lap of Himalayas amidst the heavily lush green forested areas. It has emerged as one of the most renowned destinations in West Sikkim. Rinchenpong carries interesting historical significance also.

Duration

Distance: 675km from Kolkata.
Time: First you will have to take a train journey from Kolkata to NJP or a flight journey from Kolkata to Bagdogra/Pakyong Airport.
From NJP and Bagdogra it takes around 4.5 hours to reach Rinchenpong. From Pakyong, it takes 4 hours to reach here.

Best Time to Visit

During summer, visitors can relish the pleasant weather and and get mesmerized y the vibrant hues of the blooming flowers.
During winter, Rinchenpong becomes the hub for adventurous and thrilling activities like trekking, bird watching, etc. It is also a great time to catch the view of the stunning Kanchenjunga.

See the largest prayer wheel at Hee Water Garden.
Other places of attractions include Uttarey, Dentam, Singshore Bridge and Chayataal.
