Yakten is a picturesque virgin village in East Sikkim near Pakyong that is surrounded by lush greeneries. Yakten is also famous for rare Himalayan orchids. Time: Nearest airport is the Pakyong Airport from where it takes 20 mins to reach Yakten village.
From Siliguri/NJP/Bagdogra, it takes around 4hr to reach Yakten by car.

Best Time to Visit

Winter is the best time to be in Yakten village. Summer is also pleasant.
The time between October and November experiences the best weather conditions and see Yakten growing beautiful orchids of various hues. You will also catch a spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga range.
