Description

Saint Martin's Island is the only coral island of Bangladesh and is one of Bangladesh Eco-Tourism Destinations. This marine paradise is located in the northeasternpart of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south off the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula and 8 km west off the northwest coast of Myanmar touching the mouth of the Naf River. This island makes the southernmost part of Bangladesh.The locals call this island as NarikelJinjira or 'Coconut Island'.
Saint Martin's Island is a unique location for Island getaway in Bangladesh. During high tides,the island radius is about 5 km. However, during the time of low tides the island land mass increases significantly as the as the water retreats exposing a significant land mass.

How To Reach

First, reach the Cox's Bazar Airport from where you can reach Teknaf.by car. (2h journey) From Teknaf, you can take a ferry or a mid-level ship to reach the Island of Saint Martin.

The best time to visit Saint Martin is in winter, between mid-December and February.
