You may also visit the famous destination of Pokhran in the Jaisalmer District. It is a remote location in the Thar Desert region and served as the test site for India's first underground nuclear weapon detonation. The Pokhran Fort is a great tourist attraction.
Around January-February, the Desert Festival takes place here, which celebrates the rich and colorful Rajasthani folk culture. Other entertaining activities like puppeteers, acrobats, camel races, camel polo, and folk dances and music are also a part of the festival.
