Description

This steep valley sprawling from north to south is the ancestral home of Queen Grandmother of Dorji family. Away from the southwestern region of Paro valley, this spot is filled with paddy fields surrounded by mountains, alpine vegetation and vast grasslands. Haa valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of Bhutan and your tour to Bhutan will not be completed without a visit to this striking destination. This serene place is filled with tradition. People here follow the traditions started by 8th Guru Padmasambhava which can be seen in the local traditions and festivals. This destination opened up to international visitors not very long back in the year 2002 and today, thousands of tourists come here each year.

How To Reach

Haa Valley is situated a distance of around 65km from Paro. Paro has the only international airport in Bhutan. Take a direct fly to Paro and then take a car to reach Haa.

Best Time to Visit

October to November is the perfect time to visit Haa valley for a cool and pleasant weather and to catch the unhindered and the perfect view of the surroundings and the Mt. Jomolhari.
